Love Island USA Season 6 stars Nicole Jacky and Kendall Washington have called it quits just days after their reunion episode aired. The couple, who finished fourth on the show, faced challenges after an explicit video of Kendall surfaced online shortly after they left the villa.
In a recent Instagram story, Nicole revealed that on August 18th, she and Kendall had agreed to work on their relationship. However, just two days later on August 20th, Kendall ended things, citing an unhealthy dynamic.
“While I understand and respect his decision, it’s hard to process this one,” Nicole wrote. “I opened up to him in the villa, and I still love him now. I’m struggling mentally and all I ask for is privacy during this time.”
Kendall also addressed the breakup on his Instagram, saying: “It reached a point where it was not healthy for us to continue the relationship. I still love and care for Nicole. I’ve never developed such strong feelings for a woman in my life. I have no regrets for the connection I made with her in the villa and it was real.”
The couple faced issues during the Love Island USA reunion when Nicole confronted Kendall about the explicit video. Kendall had initially told Nicole the video was from years ago, but it was later revealed to be from shortly before they entered the villa. Nicole accused Kendall of dishonesty, saying “If you profess love in the moment, you must be truthful.”
Kendall acknowledged his mistake, admitting “I should have been completely honest with Nicole in that moment. But I genuinely wasn’t prepared. My life was chaotic, and all I wanted was for her to be there.”
Despite their breakup, both Nicole and Kendall expressed care and respect for each other. Kendall asked fans not to send hate Nicole’s way, saying “She does not deserve any hate. Please stop with the negative comments/DMs. We’re taking this time to focus on our mental health.”
